It's only Tuesday........

When I decided to cancel friday evening children's sewing (after 12 years) I thought that I could sit on the lounge with a glass of wine and write my blog instead. Mr Smith religiously makes pizza on Friday nights; sometimes in Summer, I get the mower out and mow the lawn (I'd rather mow than cook) while Mr Smith creates his masterpiece. I'm always a little sad when Friday night is over - Mr Smith's pizza is the highlight of my week along with a glass of something bubbly and a good murder mystery on the ABC - what more does a girl need?

But...... I've taken today off to try and get my house in order! Gosh I'm such a hoarder and I don't quite know how not to be one. We've been to the gym with Vicki (the Zumba master - remember the Berry Children's Festival in the Apex Park in October?) and then we thought about going out for breakfast but then Mr Smith came up with the idea of French Toast and I admit that I can't refuse his coffee (he has perfected the art of coffee making) trouble is now he has perfected the art of French Toast making too!

On Friday while I was sorting through my Calendula Patterdrip's Cottage pattern on the Crabapple Hill web site & deciding what I needed to get started, I discovered a new magazine from the UK called "Mollie Makes". Now you're probably all sitting back going "yes, yes, Lizzy we already know about it, you're a bit slow"! And, you're right......I always feel like I've discovered things years after everyone else!!! I just had to share my new discovery just in case........................

I had to see what the inside pages were like so I phoned around and finally tracked down the supplier in Melbourne and three copies arrived today. Golly, the creativity is astounding and covers all forms of crafts from crocheting, knitting, patchwork, embroidery to vintage to........ and recycled; gosh I love recycled - everything. I've managed to get hold of  Issues 5, 6 & 7 and I've taken a subscription.
Day of the Triffids?

Ok......back to sorting and purging my little house! I'll leave you with a few glimpses of my humble abode just before the rain set in this morning. I think the Boston Ivy is taking over but I just love it! Here are a few photos around home.......
