Only one sleep to go.........

Yes, there is one sleep to go before Berry Quilt Show opens tomorrow night at 7.30pm. Honestly, when I rushed into the hall tonight to run in with the final entries from the children, I was overwhelmed with the way it all looked! I still have approximately 10 opening night tickets left if you want to be a part of this event. Berry Quilt Show opens tomorrow night - that's Friday night 4 May at 7.30pm!
Gosh the girls looked fantastic and so glamorous at the dress rehearsal last weekend. You know how you always long to have something to dress up for, to wear that outfit you couldn't resist? Well, here's your opportunity.
A photographer arrived from the Newspaper and he took some photos of Sophie, Ingrid & Veda playing around while the other models got dressed.

Linda Steele, Pam Furniss, Deborah Louie, Julie Haddrick, Sarah Fielke and Caroline Sharkey all sent items down to showcase the upcoming Berry Quilting Retreat for 8 & 9 September. You have to come and have a look at their work, it is amazing up close! Linda Steele's "Crazy About Australia" is spectacular - her embroidery is just amazing. Deborah Louie's quilt is incredible and she has so much to offer her students when she teaches. Julie Haddrick's two samples - even though they aren't the samples of her upcoming class, are just outstanding in the techniques she has presented. Seriously, Julie's works are art in fabrics & threads along with Caroline Sharkey who has the ability to turn fabric confetti & threads into an amazing landscape or picture. Sarah Fielke has sent 5 of her collection and up close and personal, they are young and fresh and I WANT TO MAKE ONE, OR TWO OR THREE!!! Please take the opportunity and come along to the Berry Quilt Show over this weekend, Saturday & Sunday 5 & 6 May - open from 9.30am and see these amazing Tutor's works up close and personal.

Can you tell, I'm just a tad excited? The Picasso Installation looks amazing! And the children have been hard at work on either Challenge pieces or sewing for the children's room. Sienna and Ella both finished their pieces this afternoon. Have a look at Sienna's Hearts (left) - doesn't she look proud of her work? She's a gorgeous girl and Sienna has done an amazing job. Kerrie Hay from Bernina Australia & Merelyn Pearce have the challenge of deciding who wins some of the categories.

Vicki Swift from Rebels Personal Training & Fitness Studio at Shoalhaven Heads will start the auction with a Zumba routine - so get your gear on, throw your high heels into the sidelines and wiggle what you've got and join in! One routine won't make you all hot and sweaty but it will fasten your heart rate just a tad. Vicki will make you want to join Zumba as part of your weekly routine.

Lynn Hewitt will be teaching "A Postcard In A Day" on Saturday 26 May. The postcard is A4 size though. Class is $50 and starts at 10am - be sure to book in.

I've had a new shipment from Hitomi of her latest Sashiko Panels. This one features and Owl, a Rabbit, Birds among other designs and the panel is available in Red, Black or Navy.

Have a look at the new Tilda products that were delivered to us today - aren't they just gorgeous? It's hard to resist don't you think? The fabrics, the boxes, the buttons, the ribbons, the doll kits, the books - oh dear........good thing I just had a clear out at home!
The colours are really lovely and the entire range that I have purchased will be on display this weekend at the Berry Quilt Show!

If you're feeling inclined to learn Sashiko or Engish Paper Piecing - Jennifer Corkish will be with us for the First Saturday Club this Saturday 5 May. Class starts at 10am and will cost you $50. Jennifer is a fantastic teacher and a great lady.

Hopefully I'll see you at Berry Quilt Show opening night tomorrow night. Tap me on the shoulder tomorrow night and tell me that my blog inspired you to come along and I'll throw names in a hat for a lucky door prize! It will be something good!!!

See you..... Liz ;-)
