Golly, I just love it all.........

"Red Home" & "Tis the Season"
Isn't it hard? I guess I don't really have a particular style. I love it all & I'm happiest in my wellies & daggy clothing and surrounded by fabric! Mind you the two don't have to be linked together!!!
Simple Joys

Gosh, it's all started coming through the doors - some of the orders I placed at the AQM in Sydney earlier this month. Where to put it all is always a dilemma when the shop is already overflowing!
So far, I've received all the beautiful new books and patterns from
"The Bird House" by Natalie Bird; her new book "Red Home" and I've now got copies of "Tis The Season". And then, there are all her gorgeous patterns. Even though you know I'm not a Christmas gal, I couldn't resist "Simple Joys" and the Reindeer button - oh gosh, it's just too cute!
Jinny Beyer 1/4's

And then through the door came,
Sewing Cases?
Miss Kittty Cushion Kit

six boxes of American fat quarters from Jinny Beyer, the cutest suitcases which are a suitcase within a suitcase, within a suitcase - all three sizes! American fats of Kaffe Fassett, new Jelly Rolls of Aneela Hoey's "Sew Stitchy"- gosh I've lost track!

The other things that arrived that I think are really cute are the cushion kits. I think they are great value. All are pre-printed for easy stitching, plus they have threads included and some include fabrics for patches. I love the cats but I really love the Fox more. Though the Owls are cute too!!!

This week, I received more entries for the "One Red Thread-Berry Textiles Art Prize" - it's very exciting and I wish I could enter. I'm hoping to receive a whole lot more. You know that I've extended the date to 30 July & I've deleted the photograph as a pre-requirement - no more excuses. And remember there are some great prizes!!!

I've had lots of phone calls asking if there are places available in classes for our September Retreat.  YES! Berry Quilting Retreat, September 8 & 9 - there are still places available in all classes but don't leave it too long if you are serious about coming along!
Deborah Louie
This week, Deborah Louie & Linda Steele both took out prizes at the Darling Harbour Quilt Show, so you are in great hands and rest assured all the classes will be great ;-) We are so lucky to have such amazing talent coming to Berry.

Look at all the amazing talent surrounding us! Our very own Denise Griffiths & Kathleen Davey both took out awards this year - how incredibly exciting - well done to them both!

There are a few changes happening at Berry Patchwork.
I've decided to open at 11am on Sundays - and I'll be open on
Tuesdays from 3pm in time for the children's classes at 3.30pm.

Just a reminder that Angela Zimmerman's next clothing class is Friday 29 June from 10am to 2pm, $45 and Carolyn Collins will hold the start of her three workshops on Broderie Perse & Quilt As You Go Flannel Quilt on Saturday 30 June

Sienna & Bear
Bear
I have to share this with you before I go........ I have 5, 6 & 7 year olds on Thursday afternoons. We make all sorts of things, cushions & wall hangings and Sienna (6) has been making a bear. Finally, yesterday we finished him & 'stuffed' him with polydown. It was very exciting and everyone had to have a cuddle because he is rather cute. I admit even I had to give him a huge hug - he has loads of personality and everyone wanted to take him home including me! In the end, we all gave him a big cuddle and passed him back to Sienna who was looking a little worried. Next term, we're ALL making Bears - perhaps that would be a great adults class!!!

Enjoy your weekend - see you Sunday (from 11am) if you are in Berry
Elizabeth ;-)
